"Jammin" Joel

BIO
Boston's Hottest Country Parties!
Originally from Peabody, Massachusetts,

Joel has been providing premier mobile entertainment at venues all

across the nation from Boston to Los Angeles since 1981. What began as a

hobby in the seventh grade for Joel turned into a lifelong career.

Voted as Boston’s #1 Mobile DJ for youth

parties and dances, Joel was given his FORMER nickname “Jammin Joel” by

the youngsters who attended his events back in the early 1980s. For more

than 3 decades, the name “Jammin Joel” has been a staple in communities

throughout Boston and beyond. Joel has been requested and has performed

for literally thousands of private parties and events, but has recently

changed his format to become Boston’s hottest “exclusively country”

mobile DJ.

Joel’s unique style, announcing parties

as if they were “Live ON AIR” is a style that’s proven popular and one

that’s kept him in the limelight as a top mobile DJ for so long. With a

degree in Mass Communications and broadcasting from Emerson College, and

an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) license, Joel perfected his

craft, and began doing some ON AIR work as well. In the late 80s, he was

interning for Boston’s hit radio station 94.5 WZOU (no longer in

existence), where his “live event” emceeing was noticed by radio

professionals, who asked him to introduce the the #1 pop group in the

world at the time, New Kids On The Block, at a live station event at the

World Trade Center in Boston. One thing led to another and before long,

Joel was being requested to host celebrity events, which took him to

Los Angeles on several occasions, and on one trip, was hired by Los

Angeles hit radio station Power 106 to run the control board in the

station as well as DJ mobile events. Joel also emceed numerous events

with many of the World Wrestling Federation’s superstars. And at one

point, Joel accepted a weekend air shift on the former Rock 93.7, WCGY

in Boston, but he didn’t stay long, as he was too in-demand for private

parties, which interfered with his air shift, and which he enjoyed much

better than radio. “I know I have a great face for radio,” he joked,

“But I like being able to see and interact with my audience.”

Now in his late 40s, Joel is a little

more selective at what he accepts for bookings, but he keeps up with all

the current hit country music and still runs some very attractive

special effect lighting shows too. In addition, Joel is also a party

planner – he can get you anything within your budget for any party –

including other unique entertainers, the decor for a themed event, or

whatever you may need. In addition, he also organizes and runs his own

country event nights – each one being different than the last. Joel is a

wealth of knowledge in planning the greatest and most memorable parties

possible, and your “one stop shop” for some of the most prestigious

country events ever, under the name, “COUNTRY ROADS.”

Joel can handle crowds of all sizes from 100 up to 5000 people.
